Release Notes for PEPFAR Data Genie: Site by IM updates

  1. Overview of changes
  • 2018 Quarter 2 data is now available in PEPFAR Data Genie (Genie) Site by Implementing Mechanism (Site by IM)
  • New data fields available in Site by IM include flags that indicate Coarse Age bands, Semi-Fine Age bands, and the new detailed Fine Age bands. Also, several fields were adjusted and/or removed.
  1. Accessing Site by IM Extracts
  • All Users who have access to Genie may use the dropdown menu in the upper left-hand corner to navigate to “Site By IM Extract”
  • Data viewable in Genie’s Site by IM are based on User type; this is no different from data viewing privileges throughout the rest of DATIM. Figure 1 below shows user type across the top and what level of data each user type can view.

Partner level users can only view their own data. Regardless of approval level, users with partner level accounts cannot view data from other implementing partners

3. Details of changes

3.1. Site by IM

  • There are additional data fields available in Site by IM. New data fields include flags that indicate Coarse Age bands, Semi-Fine Age bands, and the new detailed Fine Age bands. This release also features fields for "Site Type" and "Site Name" that combine prior fields specific to Facility, Community and Military sites.  Fields renamed, added, and removed are listed below.

Typically the value entered in the DATIM data entry screens. Note: for calculated indicators (e.g., OVC_SERV_OVER_18 or Most Complete Age Disaggregation) this will be a calculated value.

AgeFine

Shows if the data was entered at one of the Fine age bands (as newly defined in FY18 Q2). These typically include <01, 01-09, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 and 50+. Note: for some indicators such as OVC_SERV the Fine age bands reflect slightly different age groups. In these cases, AgeFine is defined as the finest set of age bands used in FY18Q2

AgeSemiFine

Shows if the data was entered at or can be aggregated to one of the Semi-fine age bands (as newly defined in FY18 Q2). These typically include <01, 01-09, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-49, and 50+. Note: for some indicators such as OVC_SERV the Semi-fine age bands reflect slightly different age groups. In these cases, AgeSemiFine is defined as the semi-fine set of age bands used in FY18Q2

AgeCoarse

Shows if the data was entered at or can be aggregated to age groups of <15 and 15+. Note: in the case of OVC_SERV, this column shows <18 and 18+.

SiteType

Site Type will have the following options: Military, Community, Facility

SiteName

The Site Name column will use the following logic:

If it is a facility then Facility Name

If it is a community then Community Name

If it is military PSNU then PSNU Name
